Day trips to nearby islands

Is it easy to island-hop in Biograd?

The most popular island-hopping itinerary is from Biograd to Kornati National Park via Žut, Dugi otok, and Vrgada. This allows you to see the very best of Biograd archipelago and is easy to organize. This route requires a whole day of your time and we recommend organized excursions. Pop by one of the many ticket sellers or tourist agencies that work in the evening on the Biograd waterfront. Arrange on the best price for one of the many day trips they offer. We recommend booking a trip with a small boat because the experience will be much more comfortable and offered food tastier.

If you do not want to spend the day with 20-200 people on the same boat that leads organized groups to the Kornati, and you have a skipper’s license to operate a boat, rent a dinghy or a small plastic boat. A small boat with only 2-4 HP is enough to visit islands just in front of Biograd.

If you do not have a skipper’s license, the agencies will organize a skipper for you. If you rather prefer a cheaper option, we recommend that you take a ferry to the island of Pašman (you will not need a car, bicycles are welcomed). The island has beautiful sandy beaches. Here you can find the ferry schedule.

With a boat line, you can be on the island Vrgada for one hour. Vrgada is full of beautiful, less crowded beaches and crystal clearer sea. Here you can check the boat timetable.
